Every Tuesday night come and dance to the greatest Hustle and Salsa hits! At 9pm, take a 45 minute introductory Hustle lesson, then Salsa and Hustle dancing continues into the night.
What is Hustle?
Hustle is not Disco!!
Hustle was born in Hispanic communities of New York City and Florida in the 1970’s. Based on older dances, such as the mambo, the Hustle started out as a line dance with Salsa-like floor rhythm. After some fusion with swing, and eventual shortening of the count, Hustle became a couple dance with the count “& 1, 2, 3”. Today it is known as the “Latin Hustle” or “New York Hustle.”
Now Hustle is making a worldwide comeback, and is hotter than ever! It can be danced to the latest hits, pop, funk, classic house, as well as the 70’s classics. It is fun and easy to learn. Come and discover it!
