Job Opportunity - Latin Dance Instructor

Comomango Dance Company is currently seeking professional dance instructors / choreographers specializing in Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue, Bachata, Latin Hustle and other dance genres.
Candidates will impart group classes as well as private classes, join the Comomango professional dance team, train the semi-professional and amateur teams, choreograph Latin dances, as well as partake in numerous events and competitions in Montreal and across Canada.
Facing increased competition in the field of dance in Montreal, and because of the expansion of our school, we urgently look for full-time candidates with a highly- trained profile, meeting the criteria listed below.

Job requirements and conditions

- Male dance instructor (to compete and perform with our mostly female clientele), agile, and in very good physical condition.
-Ability to speak English or French.
-Experience in customer service, an asset.
-Having a minimum of seven years experience in dance instruction. (Experience is not limited solely to Latin dance; all types of dance are welcome.)
-Great teaching aptitude with great focus towards student concerns.
- Strong background in public performances, competitions and showcases at national and / or international level.
-Flexibility and being willing to travel across Canada for performances and workshops at any given time.
-Having an outgoing and dynamic personality.
-Ability to work in teams, with people from all age groups.
- Punctual, reliable and organized individual.
- Expertise and creativity in the development of different choreographies for competitions and performances at a national level.

All applicants will be invited to demonstrate a thirty-second dance routine, through a video or in person, with or without a partner, to give us a better idea of ​​your knowledge and your dance skills. Once selected, Comomango will interview then train candidates according to their specific needs.
